Current tax codes -- Fair tax
The fair tax is a complete tax system reform. Instead of taxing income, the money that we have earned and put into the economy, it taxes spending, the money that we take out of the economy (Fair Tax... Explained by a 17 Year Old). The fair tax will completely do away with the federal income tax system that every honest citizen suffers from so much, and replace it with an effective, stable, equal, and productive system. Instead of paying about 30% of our total income, it will instead ask us to only pay about 20% of our total spending. We determine how much money we give to the government, depending on how much we spend, whereas with the income tax system, the government takes away the money we earn whether or not we ourselves are capable of using that money to its fullest potential. The fair tax is exactly as it claims to be, it's fair. It closes the loop-holes that many large corporations and politicians have incorporated into the income tax system that allow for tax evasion. Not only would the fair tax remove these injustices, but it would also simplify the tax system and eliminate the need for the IRS, saving many citizens hours of headache and frustration. In order for this system to be implemented, it requires the support of millions of Americans across the continent. As stated in the video above, there are a number of simple things you can do as an American citizen to support the fair tax. One is to tell your congressman or senator that you support the fair tax, because congressmen will follow the advice of their constituent majority. If it is the politicians that are preventing the progress of the United States of America, we need to let them know that we will not tolerate the worst option when there is a significantly better alternative available. Another simple thing you can do is view the following websites and help support the Fair Tax campaign:
